Title: Gen 2 SR ABS removal
Post by: Pdivizzle0112 on November 13, 2018, 04:48:31 PM
Hey yall. Im throwing around the idea of removing my ABS from my 95 SR. Ive seen a couple guys do it, but no one has write ups. I was told it can be done with a brake line manifold. Anyone know what part is used or have any detailed pictures? Id like to do a write up on it but want to see more examples of it done. Any help is appreciated, thanks

My Gen 1 does not have ABS so not sure if this works on a Montero or not. On my Dodge truck the ABS can really mess you up especially in sand and mud so I just pull the fuse and it doesn't work any more. When I get back to pavement I just put the ABS fuse back in.

I have a '97 gen 2 without ABS and a '98 gen 2.5 with ABS. I'll try to remember to take a couple pictures of both and post them. I'd only take off the ABS if I was never going to drive on pavement. I like the idea of just pulling the fuse when going off road.
