Anything you'd swap for?

For Sale Automotive / Big Tires and Bling Rims For Sale

I have changed my mind about using this set of rims and tires, in favor of more conservative SR rims on Pearl. For Montero, at least equivalent of 2" lift needed to steer. For Max, 3" lift on Gen 2 like Pearl, uncertain for Gen 1.

Tires are Firestone Destination MT, 315/75-16
Rims are Helo 750, 16x10

I had the centers of the rims milled to fit over the Montero & Mighty Max 4wd hub.

Asking $1,000, no shipping at this time

So, almost twice the heat removal of stock?

Any plans for 4-cyl applications like SWB Montero or Max?

That front Detroit should have been mine, now that I have a rear!

1. Check front drive shaft U-joints...Montero G2 are always spinning unless you have installed hubs.

2. The seat back release should be a small plastic handle that operates a cable to the release mechanism. To flip the seat forward, should have a similar mechanism, or a small mechanical release handle. G1s are easier in this respect.

My friend from Paradise has a co-worker she's called "Random Andy" due to random discussion not related to business topics appropriate for the various teleconferences.

I suggested "stochastic" as the replacement name....mathematical term for random.

Now, my friend has apparently thrown that term into the discussions when Random Andy is talking out of line.

This is Monty. My wife and I purchased this, our first financed car, in the spring of 1995. We were setting up to camp for our second wedding anniversary: went 1,500 miles from Redlands, CA to Flagstaff to Grand Canyon to Sedona to Pheonix, AZ, and back over Chiriaco Summit on the 10 to Redlands. The Montero avaraged 15 mpg for the trip, including trailer. We had to stop in Sedona to let the Jeep Tour Group go passed...we were going up the Staircase with a trailer...Jeep leader just frowned at us on little 215/75s next to his rumbly 350 CJ8....we had 4lo and locked the hubs, but did the trail with open axles and a trailer!

About 10 miles from home, the exhaust manifold melted due to a clogged pre-cat. The paint above crisped a bit. Replacements were still available for $600, more than our monthly income at the time. Retired Monty after 3 years, 60K miles. First of 24 Mitsubishi we've had.

Montero Ranch in the beginning. :)

I've never had issue with Toyota rims clearing the Mitsubishi hubs

I am sure to be involved with the Shasta Dam raise, or other water project in my area.

Guys, Oso will be a fabulous guide, awesome field cook, and is my designated trail spirit guide.

For Sale Automotive / Montero Ranch V2 nearing the end
« on: October 15, 2018, 09:40:35 PM »

Life is moving on, kids in college out of state, and will literally be selling the Ranch in order to live more freely.

I have lots of free things, if only folks would visit. I have five vehicles for sale, and a 6th I may consider, as I save for a down on a new,.new truck to haul my camper trailer around.

I apologize now for the time it's taking me to respond to otherwise past, simple things, like pulling parts and getting shipping estimates together...

Come shop The Ranch, bring a trailer or box truck. Purchase or get free stuff. Pet live sheep and goats.

Parts cars include: 1980 D50, 1989 Montero LBW, 2002 Montero Sport
For sale vehicles include: 1983 Montero #277, 1989 Power Ram 50 extended cab, 1994 Hyundai Excel, 1980 Dodge 1.5 ton 4x4 service truck, 2005 GMC Sierra 1500 crew cab 2wd
The surprise, possible sale vehicle: Pearl, my turbo Mighty Max with everything I've collected for her... :(

Overwhelmed, understaffed, home most weekends

Doug, I had Ray's Montero "Ole Blue" that arrived with the 'modified' Gen 1 rear arms. The modification had 1/4" strapping welded over the flex point failure locations. They were done, the straps fractured and shot.
