Liftgate Window Dam Replacement
« on: July 13, 2017, 05:43:32 AM »
The window dam all the way around the rear glass on my 01 Sport is brittle, cracked and in disrepair. Can this be removed and replaced without removing the rear glass or does the glass have to come out?

Thanks. It does look like it needs to come out but I appreciate a second opinion.

Turned out to be an only the lower dam that needed replaced which fid not require window removal but did require lots fo scrapping to get the old junk out.

I replaced this piece on my 2000 Sport. Yes...its a individual bottom piece which you have to remove the liftgate lens garnish to access it. If its dried up....you will have to most likely scrape it off, but make sure the surface is clean before installing the new part. If I can find pics...I will either post it here or create a tutorial on it.
