Is that due the low pinion?

I thought 5.29 gears were only found in 4cyl vehicles outside the US w/low pinion 7.25" front diffs, correct?

So the 7.25"/5.29 r&p gears can be run in a 1st gen/V6 8" front diff housing b/c it's also low pinion?

Just trying to clarify and hopefully provide some reference for others in the future...
