Anyone into Mighty Max Builds here?
« on: August 09, 2017, 04:13:49 PM »
Just joined here but looks like most threads circle around Monteros. Anyone here interested in Mighty Max builds? Have a 1990 that I've been wrenching on.

Mine came equipped with the V5MT1, but yes I was able to easily reuse it.

Rig started as this. Bought it in the ghetto of Sacramento from a guy who didnt even have it titled in his own name. He got it from the original owners son who somehow gifted it to him. Either way Im just glad its in the condition that it is in.

Some interior swapping. New cluster with tach, clock, Mitsu deck, new shift knobs, floor mats, Momo steering wheel, dash pad

Donor 2007 Eclipse 6g75 Mivec. Had this engine slated to go into my 94 Dodge Stealth TT with some large turbos, but thought..."hell ive got a good idea ive never seen attempted yet." So there is when plans changed to fit this girl into the Max

Fast forward through lots of engine parts swapping and minor fab work. Now we have a montero'esqe engine turned the way it was never intended to go into a truck.

Its in...

Now lots of engine wiring for new ecu and this.

Short walk around video of me getting it running. Have since cleaned up the wiring and put it all back through the firewall.

I know its not a full writeup, but this should at least get our brains thinking. ;)
