Weird Gen 1 dash issues
« on: September 26, 2017, 07:04:29 PM »
So you guys having weird issues with dash lights and gauges, wouldn't hurt to maybe loosen up these grounds and clean them up and re-attach them. I did the one by the ECM and some weird intermittent idle issues dissappeared.

putting dielectric grease on them or one of the electric liquid tape over the connections after reattaching them will help keep away corrosion. changing out all the ground wires on the engine is also a good idea as the oe stuff is ageing and becoming stiff and cracking allowing water in.

I will add to inspect your starter wires for corrosion i've noticed the v6 models always having it growing up the starter wire, adding a starter relay/solenoid also makes a noticable difference.
