Aussie locker ?

I know you sale arb air locker for front diff. I’m searching for opinions on Aussie locker.
96 lsr 4.63. Soon to swap to 4.875 rear air locker. No lift. 33’s

 They work pretty well from what I've seen, I used to run a Detroit in my Montero and the Aussie works about like that.
PROS: Very reliable, Easy to install, Inexpensive
CONS: More effort to steer in 4WD, Increased CV wear, AWD becomes less useful

 Just for giggles Air Locker
PROS: Selectable, Stronger than stock differential,
CONS: More involved install, Less reliable (Still pretty reliable), Expensive

 Aussies are pretty nice.

What's the rear axle coming out of? And make sure you swap in the matching front axle ratio at the same time.

I just received mine from torq masters. 3 days to ship. I will be using the link to 4x4 wire in this tread to do the install hopefully in the next month or so.

Quick question. I plan to replace the auto hubs with aisin hubs but do I have to??  The front will still free wheel when in 2wd right?

I really like the Aussie locker. I had to put in a sr front diff. 4.63. So I still have 4.9 front and rear with factory rear air locker. 9” rear. Yes 9” rear factory locker. 4.875 sitting in my garage.

How come they don't list the Gen 2 SR DOHC (94-96) as being compatible with this? It is, right?

That's probably pretty true, i lived with the Detroit for a lot of years and honestly didn't even think about getting an ARB until Lloyd was selling his.

I'm sort of still kicking myself for not grabbing the 4.90 axles from a 93 SR a few years back, but I would have lost ABS and needed a different flange on the drive line for the rear to bolt up.
