I want JDM parts for SWB Gen 2. How and where do I buy them.
« on: October 21, 2018, 12:41:18 PM »
MB520890 = aftermarket BCA2476  in France.
MB529891 = aftermarket BCA2475  in France
.
You used to be able to get Europeans stuff from Rockauto, but something has changed or I don't have the method to get to their Euro menu anymore.
Euro4x4parts in France seems like a good source. But I get read letter messages warning of "costoms problems and exta high fees.
Any help appreciated, I'm just a poor ole county boy who wants his Montero brought up to snuff.
Thanks, Dave

partsouq.com
amayama.com
megazip.net

I've used all three numerous times. I can get parts faster from the UAE or Japan than I can from the USA.

Thanks

SW in Texas is closed. I've talked with a live human there a couple times.
When I enter part number on Deland FL site and on UEA  it says it doesn't exist, yet numbers are good ( I got them from an Oz on WIRE years ago,,,still good numbers.
On French site (that place is impressive on it videos) OEM number cross right to aftermarket cables,,,but some trade or customs problem,( or my not understanding anything internet).
I've been emailing back and forth with Amayama,(sp) ,,they want Vin number. I just have an axle, no VIN. I sent  OEM part numbers  and aftermarket part number to them.....waiting.
I've got Raider up in the air with Steering Box  out (on hold, hangup with plumbing, another post on ADD forum), and I'd like to do these parking brake cables before the Seattle like rains come here. Been putting this off for years. I've got lWB GEN 2 cables criss crossed as other have done, but they bind and clack the shoes hard. I use P. brake alot for assisting load to LSD. I  may be anal here, but I want anything to to with brakes Perfect.

wish me luck,,,

Cherry Hill in N.J. let me enter the numbers and make the order.
Hope I don't get that familiar notice of part no longer available.
I really don't understand how this company let me enter number and others say _ "part not found".
Keeping my finger crossed. The price was much lower than I expected,,, hum,,, trying not to be negative.

saga continues...
Got a e refund from CherryHill Mitsu... part discontinued.

Amayama  says that Mitsu Japan says they have them.
I still don't understand the Customs duty thing. When and where and how to pay it.
Onward!

Thanks for telling me about Amayama Phil.
I got my parts from Japan in only 9 days.
That place is great.
The shipping was by Japan postal service and was very fair. The price for parts was lower than dealer in USA.
I had to sign on delivery but there was no customs charge. Unless Uncle Sam comes afer me later, there was not big problem or big charge.
Now I can properly finish my Gen 2 axle into SWB Gen 1 ( installed axle 9 years ago).
