Thanks for the information shovel. Before I went ahead and started to look into the electrical, I found during the visual inspection that the actuator rod was dry, and had some nasty crud and old grease. I wiped it clean, removed the crud and used some wd40 to clean it off and remove moisture.
I figured it needs some lubrication so I used white lithium grease. After engaging to 4H from 2H and back, I am not having any issues. Took several tries.
I don’t feel that the white lithium grease is good enough. This isn’t the first time I have had to live this and since I am in Florida, it gets wet under there quite often.
What have you guys used to lubricate the actuator rod?
