^ Agreed!

Hope you guys have lots of fun and represent the Montero owners well.

I enjoy seeing all the Mitsubishi owners getting together and expect to see a dominant representation of Evos and Eclipses/DSMs. I find seeing Galants and Monteros and the "less" represented Mitsubishi models in small groups more satisfying though.  8)

Have fun..and be safe!!

last year the event was covered by JNC, my 79 Galant Sigma wagon was one of the few odd ducks that made it out, one gen 1 montero, a gen 2 and a couple of gen 3's.

Leaving in the AM. See you guys soon! We'll discuss our after-Moab plans around the fire tomorrow night in Montana, and let you know whether we are gunning for Phoenix or skirting the edge of AZ... I'm thinking the former.

So, is there a plan for our trip to MOD this weekend yet? Meet-up location, schedule, camping location?

If needed I have room for a few people at my house in central Phoenix,  in case you need air conditioned slumber or shower on the way.

It's almost time!!!

As Kevin said, we are meeting at 10:30am tomorrow. Hopefully we are rolling into LA area around sunset and possibly looking for a spot to meet up and eat grub, then make way to mitsu, set camp and chill with the crowd until bed time.

Saturday we'll be front and center for MOD to talk trucks, show off stock to built rigs, meet and see a lot of new and old friends.

ADD will be bringing shirts, stickers and patches for those interested.

Saturday After lunch we'll be hitting the road to explore in the San Bernardino National Forest. Attached is the trail map we're going to attempt. This is loosely planned and could change. The trail is supposed to be good for stock trucks but the information was supplied by members that have not ran the trail, the source is very good with topographical maps and mapping in general so it's a low risk attempt. One of us might break away early to run the trail to the top and return down to report to the collective what the conditions are. We are spread thin on time and resources though so it's hard to say how this will pan out. If it works, we'll be setting camp on saturday to watch the sun set over the LA area, if it doesn't, we'll all be working together to find a place to make camp for the night. If none of that pans out, we'll have to go our separate ways, but we're hoping for the best.

If you're running behind, not sure where to go, get lost, need an update, want to send pictures of your cat or whatever, you can call or text me, I will try to reply quickly.

i'll be excited to join the group wherever we decide to go, but can i again suggest we consider a closer trail? i posted an idea back on page one of this thread that would be less highway time, which gives us more trail time. stock rig appropriate, "old blue" verified.

Silverado over to Ortega is great but I don't remember any camping up in the pines but been a long time since I've been up there.
